The court has been under a tremendous amount of scrutiny over the past few years between judge Powers being accused of mishandling funds and Judge MacKenzie being accused of giving out illegal sentences and having an improper relationship with JAMS.
Judge Powers retired September first of 2014. Judge David Law was appointed by the Govenor ti fill the position and was reelected to the position in 2016.
Judge MacKenzie’s lost the 2014 election to Travis Reeds, ironically a friend of MacKenzie.
