How To Get Your License Reinstated in Michigan

If you have been convicted of two or more drinking and driving convictions within seven years than the Michigan has revoked your license. You cannot go to court and have a judge reinstate your license. You must go through driver license hearing at the Secretary of State Driver Assessment and Appeals Division.

At the DAAD, you have the burden to show that you are sober, and have been sober for a year, and will continue to be sober for the rest of your life by clear and convincing evidence.

In order to meet your burden of proof you must provide the following: Letters of support, a substance abuse assessment, a drug screen, an affidavit, and other supporting documents. Once all of the proper documentation is submitted you will get a hearing.
